Veterinary Nurses

Back home i have grown up around horses and have always had many pets at home. I have volunteered a lot of my time back home with a spey neuter and release charity in my hometown.
In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with friends , trying new restaurants with my brother or travelling around the south island.

In my spare time I enjoy drinking coffee and spending time with my son and my 2 furkids Jax and Kyro.

While studying he came to SVC to do his work experience/placement and is now a part of the team.
Growing up his grandparents bred and raced Thoroughbreds, Standardbreds and Greyhounds in Nelson where his love affair with animals started.

I have recently completed animal care courses as well as the certificate for Veterinary Nursing Assistant.
I’m originally from Nelson, my fiancé and I moved to Christchurch for my study and for his career (a boat skipper).
We have just bought our first home here, and have also just welcomed our first adopted fur baby!

My interests as a Vet nurse include, nutrition/weight loss programmes, diagnostics and clinical nursing. One of the best parts about nursing is getting to spend the quality patient time and giving all my patients the extra TLC and cuddles that they need so they can go home to their owners.
One of my biggest hobbies is doing figure skating. I am part of a synchronised ice skating team called Kia Kaha. Figure skating is a sport that I have been doing since the age of 5 years old, and I have been doing synchronised ice skating for 6 years.

I graduated from Ara in 2022 with my Diploma in Veterinary Nursing.
I enjoy all aspects of Veterinary Nursing but have a passion for anaesthesia, which I hope to continue to advance in. I love working with the team at Shirley Vet and providing the best care for all our patients.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, kayaking, mountain biking, watching movies and hanging with my two cats Missy and Milo.

I love to hear the stories you have from your pets and giving them all love and cuddles when I can.
I have 2 cats and a rabbit at home who love to beg for food 24/7 but am a massive dog lover even though I dont have one myself I spend some of my spare time volunteering at SPCA with their dogs.

In my spare time, you can find me tending to my ever-growing indoor jungle of house plants. I enjoy spending quality time with my husband and our two beautiful chihuahuas, Peach and Opie. I do also have a keen interest in exotic species, with my household including 8 Guinea pigs and 4 rats within the last four years.
I look forward to meeting you and your furry friends, and settling in with the fantastic team at Shirley Vets!
